Verification
A badge on Easybie answers one question: what kind of account is this? It is not a status symbol, it is not a subscription, and it cannot be bought at any price.
Every badge means we checked something specific and it was true. If a badge could be bought, it would only ever tell you who had money — and you would be right to ignore it. That is the whole reason ours are free.
The kinds of badge Copy a link to this section
Official Easybie account
Easybie itself. Run by the people who make it.

Verified creator
Publishes original work here — writing, art, music, film — and the account belongs to whoever makes it.
Verified business
A registered business, and this account speaks for it.
Verified organisation
A charity, association, school or similar body, and this account speaks for it.
Verified media
A publication or newsroom, or a journalist writing for one.
Verified public institution
A government body, public agency or emergency service.
What a badge does not mean Copy a link to this section
It is not an endorsement, and it says nothing about whether an account is worth reading or whether anything it posts is true. A verified account can be wrong, dull or unpleasant. All the badge tells you is that this account is who it says it is.
Losing it Copy a link to this section
A badge describes an account as it is now, so it goes away when that stops being true — if the account changes hands, changes what it is, or starts pretending to be something else. Verification is a description, not a possession.
How to get one Copy a link to this section
Easybie is small and every badge is granted by hand, which is slow and is the point: somebody checks something and writes down what they checked.
- Confirm your email and finish your profile A name, a photo and a line about yourself. An empty account is not something anybody can check.
- Send one link that proves the connection The evidence below depends on which kind you are asking for. A link from a place you already control back to this account is worth more than any document, and it costs you nothing private.
- Ask, from the kind you want Every kind below carries its own link, from your account. It files a request somebody reads, and the answer arrives in your notifications either way — not an email address, on purpose: a published inbox fills with spam and the real questions get lost in it.
What to send, by kind Copy a link to this section
- Official Easybie account
- Nothing to send. It follows a confirmed address on easybie.com, and it goes when the address does.
- Verified person
- A link from somewhere you already control — your own site, a staff page, an established profile elsewhere — pointing back to this account.
- Verified creator
- A link from where you publish: your shop, label, portfolio or channel, pointing back to this account.
- Verified business
- Your company registration number, and a link from the company's own website to this account.
- Verified organisation
- Your charity or registration number, and a link from the organisation's own site to this account.
- Verified media
- A link from the publication to this account, or a masthead or staff page naming you.
- Verified public institution
- A link to this account from the body's official domain. Nothing else is proof of a public institution.
We would rather have a link than a document. A page you already control pointing back here proves the same thing as an identity document and leaves nothing of yours sitting in anybody's inbox. Where we do have to ask for something private, it is read once and deleted, and it is never stored on your account.
Expect a reply either way. A refusal comes with the reason, and asking again after something changes is normal — most refusals are "not yet", not "no".
